Description
In many cultures, Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) is a symbol of prosperity, luck, and positive energy. Despite its name, it’s actually a member of the asparagus family and isn't a bamboo at all! It’s one of the most adaptable plants you can own.
🎋 Quick Care Guide
Lucky bamboo is incredibly resilient and can grow in either water or soil.
Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct hot sun, which can scorch the leaves, or complete darkness, which will turn the stalks yellow.
Watering: * In Water: Keep roots submerged at all times. Change the water every week to prevent algae. Use filtered or bottled water if possible, as they are sensitive to chlorine.
In Soil: Keep the soil slightly moist but never soggy.
Temperature: Thrives in warmth (18°C–35°C). Keep it away from cold air conditioners.
🏠 Indoor vs. ☀️ Outdoor
Indoor (Best): This is the natural home for Lucky Bamboo. It thrives in the stable temperatures of a living room, office, or bathroom. It’s perfect for "low to medium" light spaces.
Outdoor (Careful!): It can live outdoors only in full shade. If it catches direct afternoon sun, it will likely die. It also needs to be brought inside if temperatures drop below 15°C.
