Description
Sago palms are known for their striking, feathery fronds and are often grown as houseplants or in gardens in warmer climates. They are a slow-growing, ancient plant that has been around for millions of years.
Light: Sago palms thrive in bright, indirect light. While they can tolerate some partial shade, too much shade may cause issues. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight.
Watering: Water the plant once every 7-10 days, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out before the next watering. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Sago palms are drought-tolerant.
Soil: The soil should be kept slightly moist but not waterlogged.
Common Issues: Yellowing leaves can be a normal part of the plant's growth cycle as it conserves nutrients, but it can also be a sign of overwatering.
