Neoregelia 'Fireball' | Blushing Bromeliad | Indoor/Outdoor | Bright Light Accent & Air Purifier | Easy Care
Description
Product Information
The Neoregelia 'Fireball' is a vibrant, miniature Bromeliad prized for its intense burgundy-red foliage that "glows" when exposed to bright light. Unlike many plants that rely on flowers for color, this bromeliad provides year-round brilliance through its glossy, strap-like leaves. It grows in a compact rosette formation and naturally produces "pups" (offsets) on short runners, eventually creating a stunning, cascading cluster. Whether used as a tabletop accent, a hanging basket centerpiece, or a tropical vivarium addition, the 'Fireball' brings an exotic, high-energy pop of color to any space.
How to Care
-
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. To maintain the deep red color seen in the photos, provide plenty of light; in lower light conditions, the foliage will revert to a green hue.
-
Watering: Keep the central "cup" or "tank" of the plant filled with fresh water (preferably rainwater or distilled). Flush the cup every few weeks to prevent stagnation. Keep the soil slightly moist but never soggy.
-
Humidity & Temp: Prefers moderate to high humidity and warm temperatures (above 60°F). It is a tropical plant and is not frost-tolerant.
-
Soil: Use a well-draining orchid bark mix or a bromeliad-specific potting medium. These plants are epiphytic by nature and need plenty of aeration around their roots.
-
Level of Care: Easy. Great for beginners who want maximum visual impact with minimal fuss.
